2010: Leader of Her Majesty’s
Opposition, Dr. The Rt. Hon. Keith
Mitchell has extended
congratulations to Hon. Denzil
Douglas on his party’s reelection
into office for the fourth
consecutive term.
According to Dr. Mitchell, the
overwhelming support received by
Douglas’ Labour Party and the
unprecedented mandate he received to
govern the country amidst a global
crisis is a clear indication of the
confidence and trust that the people
of St. Kitts have in his
leadership.
He
added that unlike the situation in
Grenada almost two years ago, the
people of St. Kitts understood the
need to let progress continue. He
said when the St. Kitts leader was
referred to as Jonah; he reminded
his people that they should not
throw Jonah overboard and stop the
progress.
The
former Prime Minister in a telephone
conversation with Dr. Douglas
extended best wishes to him as he
continues to lead the people of St.
Kitts and Nevis.
