Opposition extends Condolences

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009: St George’s, Grenada: The New National Party Caretaker for St. Andrew’s North West Mrs. Delma Thomas would like to express her deepest condolences to Hazel Ann Charles and Georgie Jolly of Mt. Horne who lost their young son Christan Jolly on Monday July 20th, 2009 due to a fatal vehicular accident.

Mrs. Thomas said that the death of young Jolly has affected her personally, as the child was not only her neighbor, but they are also related and she sees him as one of her very own son.

Mrs. Thomas revealed that she can actually feel the pain of the parents as the family is very close and considers Christian is their baby. She said "my heart goes out to the family in their time of bereavement, I will be praying that God will keep them in this difficult time".

Opposition Leader Dr the Rt Hon Keith Mitchell also took the opportunity in joining Mrs. Thomas in extending sympathy to the family of deceased child on behalf of the New National Party. Dr. Mitchell expressed sadness on hearing about the tragedy and said that his prayers are with the family.

Six year old Christian, a student of St. Andrew’s Anglican School, died after he was hit by a Bus in Seamoon after returning from a summer class.
