St.
George's
Dear Sister
Anne,
I am forced
to write this letter following the
funeral of Ms. Bernadine Jones of Post
Royal St Andrew’s and following my
numerous complaints made to the Ministry
of Health. It pained me deeply when I
saw the way the family was hurting over
the loss of this loved one. Are you
aware that the family is concerned about
the circumstances under which this young
lady died? Please investigate.
Sister
Anne, many voted for change, I voted for
the many things you said you will make
right as soon as the NDC gets into
office. I’m not asking you for big
change. I will be happy with small
change.
It should
not be very difficult for you to fix the
situation at Princess Alice Hospital.
Too many patients are treated as “dogs”
when they go to that hospital. Imagine
that a patient waits for hours in pain
while a doctor pleases himself before he
even comes to see the patient.
A good
example is a child brought to the
hospital after swallowing rat poison.
The doctor was in a house less than two
minutes away from the hospital and he
took more than one hour to see the
child. A baby was taken to the hospital
with serious breathing problems and
until now a doctor who was in the same
house refused to go to see the poor baby
who was then taken to the general
hospital.
We were
made to believe that these things will
only happen under an NNP Administration
but I am desperate for change. My
patience is running low. Enough is
enough. I really hope I don’t have to
share my own experiences publicly.
Sister Ann
you were very vocal on health issues I
personally want you to be the Minister
for Health, but since your appointment
you became very silent. We need to hear
you on other matters besides giving a
big job to a “close male friend” of
yours. Our expectations are high
because of your promises.
Patient
