Hon
Glynis Roberts
-
Parliamentary Representative
-
South
St. George Constituency
Dear Mrs.
Roberts,
This
correspondence is coming to you from
someone with great respect for the
environment, for our tourism product,
for cleanliness, for the belief that
‘charity begins at home, and for the old
adage that leaders must not only talk
but must lead by example.
In this
regard therefore, I wish to request that
you drive through the Golf Course area
from the Grand Anse Post Office end to
the Springs Road paying particular
attention to the area near the residence
of our Parliamentary colleague, the Hon.
Michael Church.
May I
remind you, that the Environmental
Wardens provided a vital service by
being constantly available to clear the
drains and bush in that area as well as
throughout the constituency so that it
was a pleasure for pedestrians and
motorists alike to travel on the main
Grand Anse road from the airport to
Lagoon Road. These labourers and female
heads of households were also available
to deal with issues arising before and
after heavy rains.
As the duly
elected representative of the
constituency, I believe it is your duty
to work on behalf of the constituents.
Since, according to your responses in
Parliament, you are not aware of the
degree of distress being experienced by
so many from whom your government has
removed the basic necessities of milk
for children, food for the needy and the
ability for vulnerable children to be
able to attend school daily, I doubted
whether you are aware of the matters in
the golf course area, hence my decision
to record it on paper for the second
time.
I look
forward to an early and positive
response.
Yours truly
in the Service of Grenada
Ann David-
